THE SACRIFICE
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" John 3:16
Is there any other Scripture know the world over?
But do we understand it's power? It's truth? It's cost? It's humility?
Today God just convicted of something I think I've been taking for granted for a long time. It felt like I was being reminded on a 'Simple Truth' so simple we are all guilty of forgetting it and not knowing it's true value.
He loved me so much that He gave me His Son...to take my place of guilt!!! We all know that part, it's been drilled into us by our pastors. That's not the problem. The problem is whether we understand the SACRIFICE...it's value and it's purpose.
Now here is the shocking truth...if Christ hadn't come we would never have known about God as the only true living God. We would be living aimlessly with no hope or purpose. We would all indulge in all kinds of corruption. We would be given over to our corruption. If the Lord Jesus Christ didn't come and die on a cross like a thug, I wouldn't know God and His great Mercies, Love, Faithfulness and Grace!!!
For me to know Him, He crucified His SON! I do not deserve such Love. I don't deserve such a Sacrifice...yet He still did it for me.
Thank you Lord for dying so that I may know You and the Father and see the great Love you have for ME!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

My HOME
I've been listening to Kambua's song Nyumbani...an amazing song about who our Lord is and where home is. The place that I want to be at. The place we all desire to be. I'm slowly coming to the realization that we don't really know the greatness of the King we serve. Who is GOD? And what is the great sacrifice He made on MY behalf....
We live life aimlessly and completely clueless at to the cost and the LOVE that GOD has for each of us individually. The plan He has for every human being is so unique that only the individual can accomplish it. The beauty of each person can only be unveiled by Christ. We can only see ourselves in clear clean mirrors by looking at Christ. That is the only time we see who we really are. The beautiful creation He worked on, the handiwork of His own genius.
Galatians 1:15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, 16 to reveal His Son in me,
You are a beautiful...Go out and conquer the world for Christ!!!
Blessed week

What's in a Name?
We see that God changed a couple of people's names in the Bible when He called them or covenanted with them....which then begs the question, what's in a Name?
A name walks hand in hand with a person's reputation. You are know by name for the things you've done or are doing If I mentioned Bill Gates or Hitler most of us would immediately know who I'm talking about, then our brains would associate them with their deeds.
Choose your DEED'S and your WORD'S carefully. Because that's what makes or breaks your NAME/REPUTATION!
Have a GOOD NAME DAY

God's way of Choosing.
I've been praying about the whole political situation in our Nation and I off course had someone in mind to be the next president of this country! Like most of us, I was praying for him/her believing and trusting God....maybe arm twisting Him to choose my candidate of preference. But God doesn't work like that, actually Christ instructed us to pray for the Kingdom of God to come down and for God's will be done! (Matthew 6:9-13)
Imagine that! So what business do I have convincing God? Is He a man that I should try 'sell' Him my idea's!?
Let's look at another story in the bible.....we all remember it with this beginning, " I do not look at the outward but at the heart'.
The Lord said, “Take a heifer with you and say, ‘I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.’ 3 Invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what to do. You are to anoint for me the one I indicate.”
4 Samuel did what the Lord said. When he arrived at Bethlehem, the elders of the town trembled when they met him. They asked, “Do you come in peace?”
5 Samuel replied, “Yes, in peace; I have come to sacrifice to the Lord. Consecrate yourselves and come to the sacrifice with me.” Then he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice.
6 When they arrived, Samuel saw Eliab and thought, “Surely the Lord’s anointed stands here before the Lord.”
7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
8 Then Jesse called Abinadab and had him pass in front of Samuel. But Samuel said, “The Lord has not chosen this one either.” 9 Jesse then had Shammah pass by, but Samuel said, “Nor has the Lord chosen this one.” 10 Jesse had seven of his sons pass before Samuel, but Samuel said to him, “The Lord has not chosen these.” 11 So he asked Jesse, “Are these all the sons you have?”
“There is still the youngest,” Jesse answered. “He is tending the sheep.”
Samuel said, “Send for him; we will not sit down until he arrives.”
12 So he sent for him and had him brought in. He was glowing with health and had a fine appearance and handsome features.
Then the Lord said, “Rise and anoint him; this is the one.”
13 So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David. Samuel then went to Ramah.
Long right? But it only goes to show what we Christians should be praying for, a leader chosen by God. Our Father doesn't look at the outward appearance but rather the heart...He chooses those that He wants.
So lets pray that He shows us the Leader he's anointed!!! SHALOM

1 Samuel 16
New International Version (NIV)
Samuel Anoints David
16 The Lord said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and be on your way; I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem. I have chosen one of his sons to be king.”
2 But Samuel said, “How can I go? If Saul hears about it, he will kill me.”The Lord said, “Take a heifer with you and say, ‘I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.’ 3 Invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what to do. You are to anoint for me the one I indicate.”
